The story of the hijacked Delta APC ward congress forms, can be likened to the story of a man who admires a drummer in his neighbourhood whenever he plays his drum, and one day, he decided to steal the drum.
Now the question is, where would he play drum? Because if he dares to play that drum, the whole neighborhood would catch a thief that day.
In this situation, the man, just realised that he can not play the drum he stole, because he would be caught,so he has decided to come out and say the drum is with him, that he took it for safe keeping.
Mr Jones Erue, the question is, like the case of the drum, where and how did u get those forms? And who told you those forms are not safe in the hands of the rightful owners or handlers? And since when did you become a security agent that goes around looking for People's properties to take to your home for safety against their consent?
On a normal note, I would not have bothered to respond to such frivolities and baseless position of that impostor called Barr. Imonina, a media Aide to Mr Jones Erue, in the press statement he made in the guise of being the State Publicity Secretary of our party. But for purpose of clarity and to disabuse the minds of the public from their misguided and misleading statements, aimed at distorting the truth, I want to state the facts clearly.
Nick Ovuakporie, a personal Aide to Jones Erue the Delta State APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, impersonated the State Organising Secretary, Sir A S. Mene, then forcefully and fraudulently collected and made away with all the ward congress forms brought from Abuja, with the hope of depriving anybody who's not working for the Deputy President of the Senate, from getting the form to contest for any position in the forthcoming ward congresses.
Shockingly I read on social media platforms when one of Mr. Jones Erue's Media Assistants, Barr. Imonina wrote in defence of the shameful act of his boss, the State Chairman Mr Jones Ode Erue. who instructed his security details, to escort Mr. Nick Ovuakporie on the mission to forcefully and fraudulently collect the ward congress forms from the Representatives of the National, who brought them from Abuja, claiming he's A S. Mene, the State Organising Secretary, which made the people talk with him freely, unknowing he was there for a shameful mission.
Now let me address the issues in that watery press release in defence of their criminality, by asking Barr. Imonina and Mr. Jones Ode Erue, some very vital questions, that would bring out the truth about this shameful and most unfortunate act
(1), Firstly, I want Barr. Imonina to tell the leadership of the party and the public, who is Mr. Nick Ovuakporie in APC Delta State, and what business has he, with the state ward congress materials, that he went to hijack them from the people who brought them from Abuja?
(2), Secondly, I want Barr. Imonina to tell the public, if Mr Jones Erue, has met those representatives from Abuja before, and how those ward congress forms got to the hands of Mr. Jones Ode Erue?
(3), Barr. Imonina should also tell the public if the National Leadership of APC, ever at anytime said Jones should collect the material from the representatives from Abuja and handle the sales of the forms himself?
(4), Barr. Imonina, should also tell the public, what section of the APC constitution gives powers to Jones Ode Erue, to send his boy Nick Ovuakporie, to forcefully, hijack the ward congress forms, claiming he Nick Ovuakporie is the state Organising Secretary of the party?
(5), in the porpoted press release, Mr. Jones Ode Erue, claims the forms are with him for safekeeping, that they did not steal or hijack those forms. Can Barr. Imonina, or Mr. Jones Erue, tell the public how and when he became a security agent with the authority or constitutional powers, to forcefully hijacks or seize party material from party Reps from the national, using his boys and illegal security operatives.
(6), According to Barr. Imonina in his press statement, Mr. Jones Ode Erue claims, he has the constitutional right to take possession of the ward congress forms and sell them himself, against the directive of the National Chairman. Can Barr. Imonina, or Jones Erue, prove this point to the general public, by referring us to the section of the APC constitution that gives Mr. Jones Erue such powers and authority?
Not to make the write-up too bulky, I think I should just stop at this, but with one final question for Mr. Jones Erue and his media assistant, Barr. Imonina, Since the party has granted a waiver to Jones and all those who have served before, which means Jones is likely contesting for the chairmanship again, does it make sense to both of them, that an aspirant would be the one selling forms to other aspirants?
As I await their responses, I am,
Mr. Felix Ogbotor Okpako.
State Publicity Secretary, (Caretaker Committee), APC, Delta State.
