NO GOING BACK ON OMO-AGEGE SUSPENDED ~ HON. ULEBOR

Following the crisis rocking the Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, the State Executive  Committee (SEC) of the party has reaffirmed the suspension of the Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, the party’s candidate in the just concluded Governorship election in the State.


The state acting  chairman  of the All Progressives Congress (APA) who made a copy of the letter available to our reporter contains the reaffirmed suspension of the DSP Ovie OmoAgege from the party was signed by Hon. Iseac Ulebor (Chairman) and 24 other members as the party position.


The document read thus, “The State Executive Committee (SEC) of All Progressive Congress Delta State Chapter in a meeting held on the 7th” April, 2023 at the State Secretariat, Asaba. 


“After due deliberation of the notice of resolution of suspension of Sen. Ovie Omo Agege from the Party by the executive committee of the Orogun ward and Ughelli North Local Government Chapter dated 20th March, 2023 inline with the provision of Article 21.2 (D)(II)(VII) 21.3 and 21.5(g) of the party constitution 2022 (as amended) we unanimously resolved and reaffirm the suspension of Senator Ovie Omo Agege from the Party. “Consequently Senator Ovie Omo Agege HEREBY stands suspended from the party  Henceforth.


Following various offences committed and acts of anti party activities and gross misconduct that has brought shame and ridicule to the image of the party in the state which affected the party in the just concluded elections.” It further disclosed that it's in receipt of Omo-Agege suspension from his ward.


The document pointed  out Omo-Agege‘s offences to include: hijack of the party from the ward to the state by appointing  his erand boys without consultation from respective leaders  and stakeholders in the state. The document also revealed that Omo-Agege worked against APC’s interests by working for the Labour Party during the presidential election in exchange for their support for his governorship ambition. “This action, which we found distasteful affected the party chances in the state amongst others.
