PUBLIC NOTICE! PUBLIC NOTICE!! PUBLIC NOTICE!!!

The attention of the State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State, has been drawn to a press release by one Mr Nick Ovuakporie, purportedly authorised by Mr. Jones Ode Erue, the State Caretaker Committee Chairman, discrediting the authority and authenticity of the Delta State APC College of Leaders.

The State Executive Committee is using this medium to officially notify the general public that, the said press release is a scam and does not portray, transmit or represent the decision or resolution of the State Executive Committee (SEC) or the State Working Committee (SWC) of our Party.

Therefore, we urge all Party faithful and leaders to ignore the said press release and treat same as a mere sycophantic propaganda aimed at abusing and confusing the minds  of the unsuspecting public.

Whatever Jones Ode Erue, instructs his personal Aide and Isoko brother, NICK OVUAKPORIE, to write, does not represent the position and decision of the Delta State APC State Executive Committee (SEC) or the State Working Committee (SWC).

We want to state here in clear terms, for the avoidance of doubt, that the National Caretaker Chairman/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of our Party, H.E. Mai Mala Buni, appointed and inaugurated a South South Peace/Conflict Resolution Committee, headed by H.E. Chief John Odigie Oyegun, former National Chairman of our great Party.

The South South Peace Committee met with stakeholders of the Party in all the six states of the South South region, and proferred solutions to the problems bedeviling the various States, including Delta State.

The Committee met severally with Delta State APC Stakeholders, and finally all stakeholders, agrees that there should be a college of leaders, four per Senatorial District, to oversee the affair of the party in the State. Among the 12man college of leaders, they on their own, without imposition, selected a Chairman, Co-Chairman and a Secretary, who are:
Olorogun Festus Keyamo (SAN), the Honourable Minister representing Delta State as Chairman, Dr. Alex Ideh, from Delta South as Co-Chairman and Rt. Hon. Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, from Delta North as Secretary. (All chosen from the three Senatorial Districts) This solution proferred by the H.E Odigie Oyegun led Committee, has since been submitted to the National Leadership of the Party as a working blueprint for peace and progress in Delta APC.

The State Executive Committee, is hereby reiterating our position, for purpose of clarity,
that we are happy with the development and appreciate the Chief Oyegun led peace committee for the good work and their wisdom in setting up the leaders college, as a roadmap to a lasting peace in Delta APC.

We also state clearly, that we appreciate the proactive steps of the leaders college, in bringing all stakeholders together to move the Party forward.

We appreciate their resolve to come together and let go their individual egos  and pride. And putting the Party's interest above theirs. We say thank you to our great leaders.

We also want to plead with our leaders, not to allow that sycophantic display of shame by our Caretaker Committee Chairman, Jones Ode Erue, to deter them in their determination to bring Delta APC back on track again.

We do understand that the Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, is so far the only leader that is not in tune with the measures put in place to see that APC moves forward.

We therefore encourage our leaders not to relent in their efforts to carry him along, while they continue to build the Party. The leaders should call on the national leadership of the Party to approach him, on the need to work with other leaders to move the Party forward. We need all hands on deck, for us to be able to take over the State.
