Following the successful emergence of the Senior Special Assistant to Gov Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State. on Peace Building and Conflicts Resolution Chief Joe Unuame JP+ (Ugherughe of Olomu Kingdom) as foremost Political LEADER Olomu Ward 2/5, the councilor representing Olomu Ward 2&3 (DSIEC) at the Ughelli South Legislative Arm Hon Lucky Otidi, Hon Ojiyovwi has described the Victory of Chief Unuame on the successful election as a square peg in a square hole.
The councillors stated this while fielding questions from news men immediately after the election, adding that the over whelming support of the people is a clear evidence of general acceptability which was replicated during the election whereby Chief Unuame polled a total number of 123 votes to bit his opponent Mr Christopher Orishe who polled 7 votes in the said election. In their comments noted that election should not be do or die affairs therefore, called on all relevant personality to join hand with Hon Unuame to move the ward forward.
In the same vein, Hon. Dr. Ohwofasa, Dr. Francis Taiga, Mr Daniel Owefie, Hon Benson Oghenesode amongst others while Congratulating the Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa on Peace Building and Conflicts Resolution Chief Joe Unuame on his emergence as the ward foremost Leader, they pointed out that his Victor was earlier predicted as a result of the over whelming support of the people and their yearnings for Chief Unuame to take over the mantle of leadership following the demised of the former apex Leader of the ward Late Chief CC Omonemu JP+ praying God to grant him eternal rest.
Meanwhile, the remain of the former apex Leader has since been buried but the vacuum created became of great concerned as PDP Olomu Ward 2/5 has no foremost Leader due to the demised of their former Leader Late Chief Hon. C C Omonemu (JP). It's on this note the ward during her monthly elaborate meeting unanimously adopted the motion to choose a new Leader which saw the nomination of two candidates and election was held for them to choose the people's Leader.
In his acceptance speech Chief Unuame thanks the people for choosen him to serve them as their foremost Political Leader and promised not to disappoint the people on the confidence reposed in him, adding that his leadership will be of equitable distribution of dividends of democracy and bringing the Government attention to the grassroots which the people will witness in no distance time he said.
