Delta educational system is in state of infrastructural decay, neglect, waste of resources and sordid conditions of service, which has led to several children in Delta Public Primary school performance are rated very low due to poor learning environment with our school system despite huge amount of millions been allocated to ministry of education annually.
Our reporter who was at the Erhuwaren Primary School, Erhuwaren Town in Ughiewen Kingdom, Ughelli South LGA, Delta State, revealed that one of the six class room block where the pupils learn in Erhuwaren Primary School required urgent rehabilitation and school desk furnitures without delayed.
The school which was founded in 1945 is in state of backwardness as many pupils learning under the said class room block are sitting on the floor to learn due to lack of furniture desk with one side of the class room block open roof which drop water directly on the floor whenever it's rainy and this situation force the children home every time it's rains.
Our reporter further observed that the school toilet is in worst form of all situation in this era of Covid-19 pandemic that have been ravaging the world, it's was a clear fact that it was only when there is down poured (Rain) the toilet watch itself as a result of the dilapidated open roof of the toilet as one can see directly into heaven while at the toilet, this situation is indeed shameful.
It was gathered that due to the shameful situation and Government delf 👂 ear to the plight of the people, the former councilor who was representing the ward at the Ughelli South Legislative Arm a (female) took the rehabilitation upon herself at the end of her tenure and she could not continue nor complete the project since she could not make it to return back to office.
