HON. OTIDI, OJIYOVWI, OTHERS CONGRATULATES UNUAME ON HIS EMERGENCE AS OLOMU WARD 2/5 FOREMOST POLITICAL LEADER

Following the successful emergence of the Senior Special Assistant to Gov Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State. on Peace Building and Conflicts Resolution Chief Joe Unuame JP+ (Ugherughe of Olomu Kingdom) as foremost Political LEADER Olomu Ward 2/5, the councilor representing Olomu Ward 2&3 (DSIEC) at the Ughelli South Legislative Arm Hon Lucky Otidi, Hon Ojiyovwi has described the Victory of Chief Unuame on the successful election as a square peg in a square hole.
The councillors stated this while fielding questions from news men immediately after the election, adding that the over whelming support of the people is a clear evidence of general acceptability which was replicated during the election whereby Chief Unuame polled a total number of 123 votes to bit his opponent Mr Christopher Orishe who polled 7 votes in the said election. In their comments noted that election should not be do or die affairs therefore, called on all relevant personality to join hand with Hon Unuame to move the ward forward.
In the same vein, Hon. Dr. Ohwofasa, Dr. Francis Taiga, Mr Daniel Owefie, Hon Benson Oghenesode amongst others while Congratulating the Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa on Peace Building and Conflicts Resolution Chief Joe Unuame on his emergence as the ward foremost Leader, they pointed out that his Victor was earlier predicted as a result of the over whelming support of the people and their yearnings for Chief Unuame to take over the mantle of leadership following the demised of the former apex Leader of the ward Late Chief CC Omonemu JP+ praying God to grant him eternal rest.
Meanwhile, the remain of the former apex Leader has since been buried but the vacuum created became of great concerned as PDP Olomu Ward 2/5 has no foremost Leader due to the demised of their former Leader Late Chief Hon. C C Omonemu (JP). It's on this note the ward during her monthly elaborate meeting unanimously adopted the motion to choose a new Leader which saw the nomination of two candidates and election was held for them to choose the people's Leader.
In his acceptance speech Chief Unuame thanks the people for choosen him to serve them as their foremost Political Leader and promised not to disappoint the people on the confidence reposed in him, adding that his leadership will be of equitable distribution of dividends of democracy and bringing the Government attention to the grassroots which the people will witness in no distance time he said.

JUBILATION AS CHIEF UNUAME EMERGED PDP OLOMU WARD II FOREMOST POLITICAL LEADER

The political atmosphere under the platform of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Olomu Ward II, Ughelli South LGA, took a different look yesterday 20th June, 2021 as the people were Jubilating over the emergence of Chief Joe Unuame (JP)+ as the foremost leader to pilot the affairs of POLITICAL LEADERSHIP of the ward.

The Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Chief Joe Unuame (JP)+ polled the total number of 123 votes to bit his opponent Mr Christopher Orishe who polled 7 votes, and Chief Jeo Unuame who polled the highest votes to emerged winner of the successful election conducted was declared winner of the election and was returned elected.

It will be recalled that PDP Olomu Ward II has no foremost Leader due to the demised of Chief Hon. C C Omonemu (JP). It's on this note the ward during her monthly elaborate meeting unanimously adopted the motion to choose a new Leader which saw the nomination of two candidates and election was held for them to choose the people's Leader.

In his part Hon M Oshetigho Chairman of Ughelli South PDP chapter who was also in attendance, while congratulating Chief Unuame charged him to be focused and work with all relevant hands to attract more development to the people adding that LEADERSHIP is a responsibility. Oshetigho later announced the donation of #50,000 from Chief J U Oguma and additional #20,000 from Okomite Godons as path of their support to the ward monthly meeting.

Highlight of the meeting was the election which saw the emergence of Chief Joe Unuame (JP) as foremost Leader of the people, amogst dignitaries who where present includes: Hon M Oshetigho Ughelli South LGA PDP Chairman, Two serving councillors Hon Ojiyovwi Taiga, Hon. Lucky Otidi, Former councilors Hon Dr. Ohwofasa, Hon Okagbare, Mr Daniel Owefie, Governor Igoru, Solomon Idama.

Others are Mr Ezekiel, Hon Benson Oghenesode both are former past ward chairmen, Dr Rex Etaiga, Chief John Onochoja, Mr Victor Idolor Chairman led Ward exco, Mr Felix Eghaghara, amongst others....

EDUCATION IN DELTA IS IN WORST FORM UNDER GOV OKOWA'S WATCH

Delta educational system is in state of infrastructural decay, neglect, waste of resources and sordid conditions of service, which has led to several children in Delta Public Primary school performance are rated very low due to poor learning environment with our school system despite huge amount of millions been allocated to ministry of education annually.
 Our reporter who was at the Erhuwaren Primary School, Erhuwaren Town in Ughiewen Kingdom, Ughelli South LGA, Delta State, revealed that one of the six class room block where the pupils learn in Erhuwaren Primary School required urgent rehabilitation and school desk furnitures without delayed.
The school which was founded in 1945 is in state of backwardness as many pupils learning under the said class room block are sitting on the floor to learn due to lack of furniture desk with one side of the class room block open roof which drop water directly on the floor whenever it's rainy and this situation force the children home every time it's rains.
Our reporter further observed that the school toilet is in worst form of all situation in this era of Covid-19 pandemic that have been ravaging the world, it's was a clear fact that it was only when there is down poured (Rain) the toilet watch itself as a result of the dilapidated open roof of the toilet as one can see directly into heaven while at the toilet, this situation is indeed shameful.
It was gathered that due to the shameful situation and Government delf 👂 ear to the plight of the people, the former councilor who was representing the ward at the Ughelli South Legislative Arm a (female) took the rehabilitation upon herself at the end of her tenure and she could not continue nor complete the project since she could not make it to return back to office.

ORHUWORUN MARKET TRADERS TURNED DEDE PRIMARY SCHOOL TO DUMP SITE

The current learning environment of DEDE PRIMARY SCHOOL  has call for great concerned as pupils learning under the situation are exposed to environmental hazard which is unhealthy to the school children a situation if not given urgent attention may result unforseen circumstances.
Our reporter who went round the school premises lamented the huge waste generated by the market traders associated with the area turning part of the school premises to a dump site. Therefore, call on the Udu Local Govt Authority to as a matter of urgent do the needful.
One of the trader in the affected area who introduced herself as Mrs Magret Efemini inform our reporter that the LG and the Community leadership through their agent have been collecting money from them to dispose the waste generated daily yet the situation remain worsening.
Our efforts to reached the LG environmental personnel and the Orhuworun Community Leadership for comments was not successful as at the time of writing this report. We therefore,  appeal to all relevant authority to wade into the development for safety and secured learning environment.

DELTA RESIDENTS LAMENT AS WATER PROJECT FUNDED BY NDDC ARE NOT FUNCTIONING

Our reporter's who turned their attention to Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, reveal the state of abandoned Okuno Community Water Project, the contract is said to have been awarded for the construction of a Solar-Powered Water Project in Okuno Community to a company named Philvianno Nig Ltd.
It was allegedly gathered that the commission’s official records show that the project is ongoing. However, our findings show that the Borehole Water Project was abandoned and overgrown with weeds for more than five years now.
A Community Source who spoke to our reporter who don't want his name in print lamented that they have never drank a cup of water from this borehole, but you can see how the contractor condemned our land?” he queried. According to him, the community was looking forward to enjoying potable water
 
The source lamented further that the Community have been drinking water from the well for so long,” he said. “We were eagerly waiting for them to finish the borehole" But, when the project was near completion, the contractor disappeared without a trace. They mounted the borehole and tested it. Immediately it brought out water, they carried their property and left and never returned till date.
It will be recalled that a CAC search revealed that Philvianno Nigeria Limited, the company that was awarded the contract, is located at NO 18, Rumueprikom by Wimpey junction in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. However, a further investigation reveal that ""Blosom Choice", a boutique occupying the address.
