WHY DELTA GOVT SHOULD FIX ODOVIE DILAPIDATED PRIMARY SCHOOL BUILDING AMONGST OTHER'S

The conditions of some public schools in the state make mockery of any claim of commitment to education by the Okowa led PDP Government in Delta State despite the huge amount of money being budgeted for education annually.

Our news reporter who visited some school in Delta State reveal that the condition of some section of the Odovie Community Government own Primary school building is so bad that no pupil will like to learn under such condition even as  the raining season is fast approaching.
Our reporter also observed  that some section of the Odovie Primary School in Ughelli North LGA, Delta State have been associated with bad roofs, broken floor and open ceilings, and if not given urgent attention the building may soon collapse.

The Odovie Primary School which was built about forty years ago has never been renovated, if nothing is done urgently to save the situation, then, the school children may suffer untold hardship.
Therefore, called on the Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa led Delta State Government to as a matter of urgent save the Odovie Primary from it's total collapsing.

“We are also appealing to the Local Government, State Government and the General Public to come to the aid of our children and put in place a conducive learning environment for them, as they grow to become Leader's of tomorrow.

IBORI'S UNWRITTEN ZONING FORMULA: A CURSE & A BLESSING TO GREAT OGBORU GUBER ASPIRATION (SPECIAL FOCUS ON 2023)

Fourth republic governor of Delta State, Olorogun James Onanefe Ibori took the saddle of leadership between 1999-2007 set a new order and became a major principality as far as Delta's guber seat is concerned. Chief Ibori came to power in 1999 through a sane democratic process, but would later set an undemocratic precedence... characterized with impunity, godfatherism, ethnocentrism, election manipulation, candidate imposition among many vices.

In 2007, the search for a loyal successor who will in turn cover up his trail at the expiration of his term in office, saw the emergence of his cousin Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan and this will signal the beginning of ZONING ERA in Delta's political sphere. The problem with zoning is hinged on the fact that it wasn't a collective ideology of the good people of Delta State. Conversely, zoning as envisaged will create an even developmental climate among the three (3) senatorial districts in the state. Moreso, it will cement all interests, giving them a sense of belonging, thus dampening the scourge of marginalization and neglect.
Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru political unveiling in 2003 received an affirmative nod from the electorates, but the ill-intended zoning arrangement of the corrupt U.K convict will see that the mission to liberate Deltans will take few more decades to actualize. The unwritten zoning formula/agenda in retrospect became a curse to Chief Ogboru's dream to govern the state as experienced in 2007, 2011, 2015 & 2019 respectively. In that line the Anioma agenda was birthed and the seemingly political strength cum influence of Ogboru in Delta North was tainted as a result.

Consequently, gubernatorial zoning has done a cyclical 360° turn in all three (3) senatorial districts of the state, thus 22years later its back to where it started (Delta Central). In 2023, it will be the turn of urhobos to restart the whole process once more and what has been seen as a clog in the wheel of Chief Ogboru's political journey will swiftly become a blessing.
Truthfully, Delta Central should be grateful continual to God for the resilence of Chief Great Ogboru, he's not a political jobber, whose sole interest is Deltans' collective interests, he's not a career politician hence his steadfastness and pinpoint focus. Unlike many career politicians that see politics as the life blood of their existence, money-driven men with no vision for the people save their pocket, little wonder they vie for every available political positions.

The blessings of zoning falls squarely on Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru a tested, resilient and dogged fighter....a man who's breast the tide for the opposition in Delta State. Delta Central should rally round him in 2023 since the odds are no more, no personality as far as opposition is concern has a wide acceptability like Chief Great Ogboru in the Delta's political spectrum.
LET'S ENJOY LIBERATION IN 2023.... OGBORU'S TIME HAS COME.

THE ONCE BEAUTIFIED ENERHEN JUNCTION TURNED DUMPSITE AND MARKET SQUARE FOR TRADERS

The popular Enerhen Junction in the Oil City of Warri was given a face-lift during the administration of former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan but the junction which is the gateway to the Oil City of Warri had since returned to its old disrepair state under the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led Government.
Smart news reporter who visited the area during the weekend to witness current development reveal that; aside from the state of the bad roads, the once beautified junction had turned to dumpsite and market square for traders.
Our reporter observed that the piece of work done so far were not enough to compliment Government efforts, describing the performance of the construction company handling the rehabilitation as a snail movement.
it was observed that one of the lanes at the junction had been taken over by flood while most parts of the two lanes have been cut off resulting in gridlock. Therefore, urge the state Government to urgently address the drainage system and construct the road before the raining days.
Enerhen junction was commissioned in 2013 and was among 12 road intersections in Asaba/Effurun metropolis constructed by the Uduaghan-led administration’s Urban Renewal Strategy at a cost of N3.66bn.
However, the junction has since turned into a state of disrepair, as motorists and other road users battle to drive through the once beautified junction and other parts of Effurun.
A commercial driver, Lucky Onajite, while lamenting the state of the junction, noted that the current administration had turned blind to the plight of road users and residents of the area who plied the junction daily.
In his speech he said, “I have been here for over 30 minutes trying to drive through here (Enerhen Junction) to Warri from Udu Road. Many of us have stopped coming to this area due to the bad state of the road.
Going forward he reveal that under former Governor Uduaghan, Enerhen Junction was one of the world-class junctions in this country but the same PDP government that took over has abandoned it”, the motorist said.
Also speaking, Mrs Charity Ovakporoye, a new comer to the city, have this to say that what she was seeing falls short of all the beautiful stories she had heard of the oil city, and called on the state government to urgently fix the situation.
Similarly, a road user who simply identified himself as James Okpakovwoko, whose car broke down while trying to manoeuvre his way through, noted that it was a shame for “Delta to be in such terrible condition.
Despite all the claims by Gov. Okowa's praise singers as a "ROAD MASTER" that he has constructed hundreds of roads in the state, it is appalling that one can’t drive one kilometre without pot holes.”

GBARAMATU OIL SPILL: PROTEST HIT DAY 10, CHEVRON'S CONTINUE FAILURE TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY IS DELIBERATE ~ ACTIVIST

Following a continue protest that lasted for over 10 days now as a result of the oil spillage in Gbaramatu Communities allegedly operated by Chevron's Company Limited, the Co-ordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), Comr Solomon Ebikemefa has stated that Chevron Nigeria Limited failure to accept responsibility for the Gbaramatu oil spill was a deliberate act to undermine the wellbeing and environment of the people living in the affected communities.
Smart news reporter who was on ground to witness the continue protest, reveal that Chevrons claims that the spill is not from its facilities because the pressure in its control room did not indicate that there was a leakage or a drop somewhere, therefore, could not accept responsibility of the said spillage on several part of Gbaramatu Communities.
The environmental activist also submitted that Chevron should be honest enough to re-examine it claims as there could be system failure that had made it difficult for it to detect the leakage from its facilities in the affected area as the spillage has almost taken over all part of Gbaramatu Kingdom he noted.
The activist further said; that Chevron Company Limited shares facilities with the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) field in Jones Creek flowstation in the affected area but the Chevron’s 16 inches Crude Line runs from Makaraba, through Otunana to Abiteye and the leakage is between Otunana and Abiteye all in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Burutu LGA of Delta State.

OJOUGBOH SYMPATHISES WITH FAMILY OF LATE EX-ACTING GOVERNOR, LATE PASTOR SAM OBI

The former federal law maker and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Dr Cairo Ojougboh "AKINUWA ANIOMA 1" has expressed deep pains over the demise of former speaker and acting Governor of Delta State Late Sam Obi.

In a statement, Dr Ojougboh said, though  Obi’s departure came as a rude shock, it underscores the inevitability of Death as a mortal obligation. He said the former legislator represented the Ika North East Constituency which he was again elected as speaker in the (DTHA) and later became the Acting Governor of Delta State.

According to him: “As a fellow legislator at the state level between 2003 and 2015, Rt Hon Sam Obi was literally a round character of immense and infectious personality, humble, peaceful, compassionate, kind,  decisive; all alluring attributes that made him a source of inspiration amongst others.

While praying God to grant Obi’s soul enternal rest, he  urged the immediate family, sympathizers of the late law maker to find solace in God for the fact that during his earthly sojourn, he exhibited utmost commitment to the Lord’s vineyard in his capacity as founder and pastor of the Asaba based Oracle of God Ministry.

ROYAL RIPPLES: CHIEF AYIRI vs ITSEKIRI NATION ~ BY FRED LATIMORE OGHENESIVBE, JP.

I must say without any ambiguity that my friend and former Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayiri Emami, has lost out in his bid to single handedly install the 21st Olu of Warri, for the Itsekiri people.

I read Barrister Jesutega Onokpasa's masterpiece on the subject matter, and I nodded in truism that there can never be a bastard or illegitimate child in Nigeria, talk more of a free born Crown Prince of Iwere Land.

Jesutega while dwelling on the supremacy of our federal constitution, compared to a mere Edict, captured the exact state of affairs in Itsekiri nation, and emphasised the potency of the grundnorm, the supreme law of the land far and above a mere Edict which Ayiri relied upon to ignorantly declare a bonafide Nigerian and a Prince of Itsekiri as illegitimate son and unfit to ascend the throne of his ancestors. The Edict is essentially gross inconsequential and also repugnant to natural justice and good conscience.

I almost called my friend, Chief Ayiri Emami, but on a second thought something struck my reasoning; "Ayiri will not take your calls at this time." Yea, he is such a guy, sometimes highhanded and at another time extremely proud to a fault.

I had a brief interface with Ayiri during the days of DELTA UNITED FOR TONY OBUH and later renamed DELTA UNITED FOR APC. In all of these, Ayiri will take a critical look at you, twist his mouth and roar like a Lion, not minding the status of person standing before him. He was that brave, occasionally irrational and always autocratic.

This time, he went extra mile to want to hoodwink the entire Itsekiri people cum Iwere land to accept a junk Edict. He invoked a section of an Edict, not better than a mere piece of paper, to bastardize a royal Prince, Tsola Emiko, now the Omoba of Itsekiri Nation. Congratulations, His Royal Majesty, HRM Designate.

The last time I checked, Ayiri had no royal blood in him, and cannot now decide the future of a royal Prince and heir apparent to the ancient Olu Crown. There is this common thinking among rich people, they think money can do everything for them. If that is true, why can't they buy DEATH with money? They get sick unto death while their billions of dollars or Naira stares at them in the face.

The Oluship project is not the same as mobilising political thugs to rig elections. It is far beyond political rascality and ability to deploy area boys for the attainment of certain social or political objectives. That's why it is said: "The pen is mightier than the word," meaning - the Pen is a more effective tool of communication and a more sophisticated apparatus of leadership than violence or thuggery. Thugs are relevant within their locality and easily fades away but a pen pusher is a global citizen.

The office of Ologbotsere is prominent and next to the Olu, in hierarchy as the leader of the Olu Advisory Council. The occupier of this office must be seen to be responsible, a visionary personality, not a deviant, not a power drunk and never an autocratic leader. The office is not higher that that of a crown prince or Olu Designate. Caution must therefore be taken when exaggerating the office of Ologbotsere, because he becomes the subject of the Omoba once he ascends the throne of his forefathers.

An Ologbotsere can be stripped of his title and position whenever the need arises. And Ayiri has been stripped of his position as the Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom. A little bit of caution would have saved him from this monumental embarrassment. He can still make amend by simply accepting the realty on ground, pay homage to the Olu Designate.

Going to Court for legal battles is not the best option, because the inconsequential Edict must be weighed against the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended, as well as other subsisting laws and precedents. The vexed Edit must of a necessity be relegated to the dustbin of traditional history. It must be destroyed and set ablaze, for it negates the spirit and letter of our nation's constitution, which abhors anything  called "bastard child" or "illegitimate child."

There is no bastard or illegitimate child in Nigeria, or what some Christians referred to as the Bondwoman or strange-woman's child or children. Our federal constitution forbids it. It is not biblical as well. The Abraham family where the story of Sarah and her maid emanated can not be validated because God provided water for the boy child and his mother when they were sent away. God blessed them and made positive pronouncements upon his generation, survived them in the desert and till date. Infact, it was Sarah who lured her husband, Abraham to do the act.

Furthermore, there is no illegitimate child in the new testament. As Christians, we are all freeborn and joint heir with Christ. We are the Apple of God's eyes, a peculiar people and a chosen generation. Olu Atuwatse II, Tsola's father was a devoted Christian. Christ settled it when he requested that any man without sin should be the first to cast the stone against the harlot, a certain woman. They all walked away, Christ did not find one saint among the mob.  Nobody can give life, only God can.

King Solomon's mother was not the first wife of King David. David killed her husband to have Solomon's mother for a wife, because of her beauty. The first wife of King David is not the mother of King Solomon. Therefore, it will be unscriptural and anti Nigeria Constitution to call any human being "illegitimate" or "a bastard," by virtue of the circumstances of his or her birth. It does not exist. Jesus did not die for nothing, he died to reconcile us to God, no matter the degree of our sins. How dare you refer to a star prince as illegitimate and not qualify to ascend the throne of his fathers!

Nearly 98 per cent of our Pastors, Bishops and Rev Fathers are  products of polygamous families. They never denied their biological  half brothers and sisters after repentance and in their normal life or spiritual calling as servants or Priests in the Lord's vineyard. This is to say that those standing on the pretentious altar of holiness to discredit others by virtue of their birth, do so for selfish personal interests.

Chief Ayiri is fully aware that we do not have illegitimate or bastard children in our society by virtue of his position as a traditionalist; not in Nigeria, not in Africa, talk more of a Prince who have been enjoying royal privileges in his father's palace, raised as a heir apparent to the throne. Those who crafted the obnoxious Edict must take it back to the coven. The stuff is dead and buried, and must not be mentioned again in relation to the choice of OMOBA in Itsekiri Nation or any ethnic nationality in Nigeria, and in total compliance with our federal Constitution.

In all of these, I salute the sagacity of Ayiri Emami, at least, for doggedly fighting his way to become the Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, even though his influence was short lived. It's over now, and he must realise that there comes a time when you take stock and take proactive decisions. Time is ripe for him to accept the reality on ground and stop issuing embarrassing press statements that may further tarnish his already fractured image.

It is therefore safe to assert that Ayiri and his associates will not win this war, they must retreat and surrender for the reputation and dignity of the ancient Itsekiri Crown. This is not partisan politics where money dictates actions and inactions of political actors and the political system. Royal business differs a great deal from all other socioeconomic and political endeavours. It can never be win win all the time, you win some and loss some. Ayiri cannot win this battle, NEVER!

President Mohammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences to the Itsekiri nation and have also recognised the Olu Designate in the person of Prince Tsola Emiko. Ayiri being an APC chieftain and a self acclaimed Buharist, must not contradict the position of his political leader and President, in this matter. The deal has been sealed by the Presidency and the rest is now history. Bravo to Itsekiri Nation and to the OMOBA, HRM Designate, Prince Tsola Emiko.

I urge my brother and friend, Chief Ayiri Emami, the former Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, to join the moving train of the Itsekiri Nation, for the good of all, and for the reputation of the ancient Itsekiri Crown.

LET THERE BE PEACE IN ITSEKIRI NATION, PEACE IN DELTA STATE.

REASONS WHY DELTANS WILL NOT TAKE RENO OMOKRI'S PROTEST SERIOUS

Reno Omokri is protesting against PMB's medical trip in London. He believe PMB should have done his medical checkup and treatment in Nigeria.

But Reno Omokri is from Delta State. UK Just returned 15% of James Ibori's loot amounting to N526b or more. Did Reno Omokiri protest or say a word? Did he protest in support of James Ibori's trial in the UK?

Perhaps he was amongst the people that said Delta State didn't lose any money. He lost his voice and never said a word.

Has Reno Omokri ever called on the Niger Delta Governors to effectively utilize the 13% Oil derivation Money? NDDC, Ministry Of Niger Delta Affairs, Amnesty Office and South South Governors can collaborate and build the best hospital, University and Refinery etc in the Niger Delta. But they won't do it because Buhari is the Problem.

A fraction of N526b can build first class hospital in Delta State. A fraction of N526B can give Delta State Constant Electricity, good road network and establish small scale industries. From the stolen money, Delta State can build the best University in Nigeria.

As an Aide to President Jonathan as he then was, I would like to know how many health centers Reno Omokri built or renovated in his community. How many Primary and Secondary schools did he build or renovated in his community in Delta State?

In some States, there is nothing like scholarship and skill acquisition for young people. Nobody has Protested because Buhari is the Problem. In some States, there is little or practically no  investment in Agriculture and Small-scale industry because Buhari is the problem. In some States, Health Care, education, roads etc are all dilapidated and moribund because Buhari is the problem.

For them, loyalty and Commitment to their ethnic groups and Political party is More important than good Governance and leadership. And if you speak on some of these things, the supposed beneficiaries, unemployed children of the unpaid Pensioners will come after you in defense of the system that has impoverished them because Buhari is the problem.

We are all Hypocrites. We lost our voices against our Governors, LGA Chairmen etc who are unabashedly embezzling Federal allocation with brazing impunity and ostentation. How many times have we protested against our Governors and LGA Chairmen?

Our Governors have not complained of not receiving Federal allocation and other Federal Government intervention funds. Every accruals to the States has always been given to them including the recent COVID19 funds that some States diverted. People were still blaming PMB until warehouses where COVID19 palliatives meant for the poor were broken by ENDSARS Protesters. Some Governors packed the foods in the warehouse and abandoned them until they got damaged. But Buhari is the problem.

As "Bad and Wicked" as PMB, no Governor has been punished Politically or administratively. In fact, Governors are more powerful and stronger under PMB than past administrations.

But why is it difficult for us to call out our Governors to account for the Money they have received from the Federal Government? Some States are operating without a budget. Nobody has seen the budget of some States and nobody has Protested because "Buhari is the problem".

What about the Local Government Chairmen?
Local Government normally build and run health Centers including primary schools. Did PMB also stop them from doing it? Nobody has Protested because Buhari is the Problem.

PMB is not perfect but he's not entirely our problem. We are only consumed and swallowed by bitterness, hate and bigotry against PMB and a section of this Country.

In 2023, PMB will leave Office but the hatred, bitterness and ethnic sentiment we are creating will live to hunt all of us.
